Welcome to Chelsea Quavers Music School where we are passionate about music! We are committed to delivering the highest standards in music education with a sense of fun, endeavour and purpose. After School Clubs
Small Tutor Groups ensure every child benefits from a combination of 1:1 attention & group interaction. We work in support of Music Directors at top London Prep & Alpha Plus schools delivering Music Scholars Clubs, General Musicianship & After School Music Clubs at all Key Stages. Schools include Wetherby Prep and Eaton Square. Using the highly acclaimed Chelsea Quavers series of Music Puzzles©, and the CHENGA!© game, children are taught to read, write, perform and transcribe music and develop aural & sight reading skills.
The Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation Bursary
Chelsea Quavers Music School has been awarded a 100% Bursary by the Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation for a musically gifted child (aged 5 to 12) to study for up to three academic years at Saturday Music School from 2017-2020. Applications for 2018-19 are now open. Click to apply.
Holiday Workshops | Bespoke Workshops
For a week at Easter, Summer and Christmas children engage in a variety of fun, educational and age-specific activities including performing in a steel pan band, djembe drumming and drum kit, singing, 1:1 instrumental and singing tuition, composition, performance of orchestral instruments, piano, improvisation with our Tutors on a variety of instruments including clarinet, bassoon, violin, trombone, trumpet, develop reading, writing and transcription skills. NEW! The Amazing CHENGA! Game
Children learn to understand notation in all clefs and where they sit up to five octaves on the piano keyboard in order to gain a visual understanding of range. Key signatures, note values and much more form part of this ingenious and popular hands-on educational game!
NEW! Musical Enrichment Programme
We are delighted to announce the launch in January 2018 of our Musical Enrichment Programme which has been developed to deliver a broader musical education, beyond the limitations of the school curriculum.
We assess and prepare pupils for ABRSM Theory exams (including accelerated ABRSM Grade 5 Theory Tuition), Sight Reading, Sight Singing & Aural syllabus for ABRSM Practical exams & Music Scholarship auditions to leading UK independent schools. Click for more information.
