Using a combination of the acclaimed series of Chelsea Quavers’ Music Puzzles©, CHENGA!© and the ABRSM Theory, Aural & Sight Reading syllabus, pupils learn to read, write, transcribe, perform and compose music in a fun and engaging way. What pupils learn will greatly enhance their understanding of not only their instrument, but music as a whole. Each child progresses at his or her individual pace. Pupils also engage in percussive and rhythmic performance, and enjoy instrumental demonstrations by our Tutors, as well as to each other. We encourage any pupil who is studying an instrument to perform at Club. This builds confidence and develops listening skills and appreciation.
Small Tutor Groups
Small Tutor Groups of an unprecedented four pupils to one Tutor provide for a healthy balance of 1:1 tuition and group interaction.
Tracking your Child’s Progress
Each week a summary of your child’s progress is recorded. Upon request, we provide parents with feedback at any given point during the term. Each pupil is given a personalised music folder in which to keep all their work and projects. Optional prep is encouraged each week.
ABRSM Theory Exams
We prepare pupils to sit ABRSM Theory Exams up to Grade 5 and beyond if required. For information on ABRSM Exam Accreditation click here.
Skype Tuition for exam candidates during the term of their exam date (or during the holidays) is available by appointment.
To reserve your child’s place please use ParentPay via Chepstow House.
